- celebrating Diwali, the five-day Festival of Lights
- observing the lowering of the flags ceremony at Wagha, the border between India and Pakistan
- visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar to see Sikhs put their holy book (Guru Granth Sahib) to sleep
- admiring snow-capped Himalayan peaks from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh
- attending the week-long Pushkar Camel Fair, along with 50,000 camels
- enjoying a camel safari to the mustard and red chili fields in the middle of the Thar Desert
- experiencing a night-time bone-rattling jeep safari to spot local wildlife around Sardargarh
- riding a meter gauge train, along with villagers, between two villages near Sardargarh
- cooking traditional Rajasthani cuisine
- touring Varanasi, possibly the world's oldest living city, and cruising evening and morning on the Ganges
